Hi all, I am leaving my post at Amerika Institut at the University of Munich for another job. I have convinced my boss that since he does not offer any relocation AND the housing market is tough in Munich, that perhaps he should consider hiring within Europe/Germany/Munich. I have posted the job on his behalf to melta.de. It is a great job. If it interests anyone, please check it out or email me direct at amyinmunich at yahoo.com

cheers

When I lived in Munich a few years ago, working as a software engineer, I was paying about 750 euros for a 1 bedroomed flat. How much does a teaching job in Munich pay?

the housing market is improving compared to a year ago..a 34 quadrat apt - about 320 sq ft...goes for about 450 within a reasonable commute..ideally it used to be 10 euro per quadrat, but that has gone up to about 13 minimum. My salary is pretty good considering I teach 10 hours per week 28 weeks per year....salary depends on age and I am 40 with a masters tax level BAT2A.
