So I woke up this morning to the sound of a helicopter flying back and forth over my apartment building and repeating the same announcement over and over. The only words I could understand were Hakata station (nearby JR station) Train, and nai (not). I got up and looked out the window, and there is a metre of water flowing down my street. Fortunately I live on the 3rd floor, but I am worried. I am supposed to go to the airport tomorrow to fly to Okinawa for my FIRST HOLIDAY in Japan. (Non-refundable ticket of course.) Just had to tell someone.

Yeah, I saw that on the news today. And I thought it rained a lot in Kago! In any event, I hope there are no problems at the airport (although if flights get cancelled due to weather or airport closures, I don't think you're entirely out of luck).
