				| For one reason or another, which I can't discuss on here, I may have to stay two days over my KITAS before I can get to Singapore and renew it.
Anyone know the reprecussions of this? Am I just going to get a fine? How much?

				| A fine, with the possibility of refused entry in the future (but this is unlikely). It is possible to get a temporary extension (I think!) but no doubt this should be arranged long in advance.
A colleague managed this same situation once by getting a doctors' note to say she was too ill to fly on the days in question. By far the cheapest option.

				| I overstayed my tourist visa the other day and it cost me $US20/Rp.200.000 per day. I assume it's the same for a KITAS, but I'm willing to be proven wrong! | |

				| No, I,m sure you are right around $20 a day. It happened to me a few years ago.
Returning should be no problem if it is just a few days.

The doctors certificate sounds like a great option, and we all know how easy that is to get.

				| if u are staying with the same employer, they can renew your kitas while u are still in the country. u only need to go to singapore every 5 years. what date does your EPO (exit permit only) give? have your agent check with immigration when he gets your EPO. | |

				| I had to overstay by 5 days while my kitas was being transferred from one job to the next ; I was initially a bit dubious but my employers assured me it'd be ok- as is so often the case with people that understand corruption they were quite correct. apparently theres a booth at soekarno hatta airport where your supposed to pay the overstay fine but i couldnt find it and the customs were absolutely fine about me paying them personally ; they even made the money dissappear without counting it - i just slid it over in my passport - very sommerset maugham. No problems when reentering from singapore or when finally leaving again. I think 50 USD would probably take care of most immigraton problems if no-one was watching.
