...just surprised no-one's mentioned it yet. Thought the Turkish entry was pretty bloody awful, though not as bad as the UK's.
right, back to work. |

Have you seen the Malta entry ?
Great that Finnland won from all those barby-doll-like-acts! |

| Did you see the Moldovan entry? A blonde Britney Spears impersonator-she changed costumes 3 times. |

Anyone see the Iceland entry Thursday night? Some kind of horrorshow with candy and dolly-girls. I thought something had been slipped into my wine!
I liked Finland. It's the first time my favorite one won. Very spirited. I also liked Lithuania but they didn't fare as well.
It seemed Terry Wogan's heart was in it less than usual... |

mmmmmm. dolly-girls
I don't normally take much interest in the Euvision, put I did acidently catch one act that was Accapella which must be the first Eurovision song that I've actually liked. |

Baba, that was Latvia. I liked it too- possibly because it was sandwiched between crap and possibly because they actually seemed to have talent and originality. Like the Finno-GWAR dudes. I loved watching the post result interview with the lead growler- he was still in full monster costume and spoke with a lovely lilting finnish-english accent. I started wondering what he'd be like to teach.

But not in a good way. Sort of in a 'Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?' way, but it wasn't good-disturbing like Baby Jane... |

Morrissey wants to represent Britain in the Eurovision Song Contest. The former Smiths frontman said: "Why didn't they ask me?" after being "horrified but not surprised" that Daz Sampson's rap, Teenage Life, came fifth from bottom in last weekend's competition.
