I am looking for information about teaching in this school. Choueifat school in muscat. I went on the first interview and I am waiting for the other. What is it like teaching there? How is the pay? any information I would love. I hear the experience is different because of the different system they use in this school? anyone care to go on more..........i am not sure of it and want more information. thanks

You might want to do a search on the other ME sections - in particular the Emirates - this is a chain school. They have a very structured, test driven system... teach to the test... test constantly. It is probably a good system for beginning teachers, but experienced teachers tend to find it frustrating.

have worked there and didn't like it. shared an apartment with a total stranger and had 27 plus teaching hours a week! it was exhausting. one of my classes had over 30 students. the curriculum is preset but that was the least of my worries. salary was approximately 400 dollars a month less than at other schools. if you are very young and have no teaching experience and don't mind sharing an apartment then it may be for you.
