Ok guys I'm new here so I hope i don't burden you with these questions. So I have intentions of coming to BA in late july but i had a question should i just show up with out a job or find one first. I found a company that can contract me a job for a fee of $700 which I think is a good deal however i could also pay about 3 months rent for that much which would give me time to find a job. I have a degree in Political Science/Intl Studies and about a year and a half teaching esl. Also speak spanish somewhat. So what do you guys think should i pay the 700 or just roll the dice and use that money for rent. Also had another question. kinnda of random. I'm here in Boston right now and was wanting to get a tattoo and some contacts. Should i just wait to get them in BA , are they that much cheaper. I know that's random but anywyas. Thanks in advnace for your help.

Martin

You think it's a good deal to pay $700 to work?

Personally I would come here and look for work once here. You can always get a much better idea of how things work in a place once you arrive.

I think it's difficult to provide a good answer though without knowing more of the details of the service they provide.

What are the conditions of the work they guarantee you? How much choice would you have when it comes to the jobs you'll accept or the location? I think it would take a long time to make up the US$700 fee. Can they put you in contact with other teachers that they've placed?

Regarding the tattoo: I've never checked or heard about prices, but going by the amount of people that have tattoos here I'm guessing it can't be expensive. Also, getting it here would always remind you of your time in Argentina, right?

Tattoos in Argentina are cheap.... I just had a small one done in March and it was $10USD. I had the other one done in 2000, when the economy was 1 to 1 and at that time I paid.... $40 USD.... I think.... so, prices have gone down.
