				Hello.

I worked here from 1990-1995.

I was in Kyoto last summer for a visit and noticed that it was no longer there.

Does anyone know what happened and why?

Cheers. |

About 1998, it became Britannica English Village.

The system stayed the same (students chose the teacher and lessons according to their level, on the posted 2 week calendar).

In November of 2000, BEV pulled out of Japan. (Too many competitors had flooded the market and the economic downturn had its impact by the late 90s).

I always thought it was a great school - for both the teachers and students.

I taught there from 99-2000. (Not at the one in Kyoto though).

One of my favorite teaching jobs. |
