|
|
Hello, I am a qualified public Middle School ESOL teacher in the US. I'm looking for something to do with my summer off and am looking into some places in China.
I was hoping some of you might have some recommendations for summer work available.
Also, I've been communicating with a couple places...I'll put their names in the next two posts...
Thanks..

Casson, I see you are a little new to the forum, so would like to offer a little advice. Try to keep your questions contained within a single post. |

This is not an answer that pertains to ALL summer schools, but you CAN expect some of the following:
1) Shared accomodations (very often a dorm room or a hotel room) with limited facilities.
2) A LOT of time spent teaching and other activities, very little of your "own" time.
3) Many more students that are engaging, active, and seemingly interested in English - - moreso than your average Chinese classroom during the regular school year.
4) Pay varies depending on the job, but you can earn anywhere from 5000 to over 10,000 in 2-4 weeks of work - - often free meals included (not necessarily the best meals in the world) as well as a tour or two of local tourist haunts.
5) Don't delay, get your application in NOW. Go to http://www.eslteachersboard.com today and you'll find several adverts for summer positions. |
