I have looked everywhere and in every type of reference book/dicitonary. 'What the heck does this mean?

Can you think of a comedian who has got on because he/she is so witty?

Does it mean can u think of a comedian who has found other successes because he/she is clever?

Couldn't that mean 'got lucky'? As it (deep baritone voice) "let's get it onnnnnn"..

But then it didn't say "it"...
