I spent 3 years working at this school. I can safely say that the boss (manager/owner) is a fair man and what he offers to teachers is fair. In fact, he's so fair that everyone gets exactly the same package, except part-timers, regardless of your qualifications. He helps the teachers to get a home to stay (no sharing of housing, either, you get your own place) and then takes the rent out of your salary. When I left there last year they paid almost 8mil per month, plus overtime, plus more if you did any in-company work. In a good month I could get 12 million. With two different locations that use native speakers, there is certainly work.
The downside is that he and his wife run these places and, as the DOS, he puts himself under a lot of pressure. This has affected his health and, as a result, his judgement. He can be quite stubborn. The other bad thing is that the books they use are mostly outdated photocopies.
Oh, I almost forgot. Classes are often back-to-back and, since you share classes with another teacher it's pretty much impossible to prepare things ahead of time since different teachers do their sessions in different ways and some are really bad at making notes about what was done.
If you have questions, feel free to ask. I'll be flying out of the country soon, though, and won't be back until the end of July. |
