Does anyone know how much it would cost to move from Kansai to Kanto? I'm thinking of a full house move (i.e. sofa, bed, bookshelves, clothes dryer, etc), so I'd probably need at least a small truck.
Has anyone used Nittsu or any of the other moving companies? (I'd rather go through a moving company than rent a truck myself) |

Even a moving company goes by how many rooms and how many people are in the home. Have you called any moving companies for an estimate? What about calling a rental agency to suggest a size of truck (and its price)? |

Glenski is right. You need to provide more information. I know a guy that paid 200,000 to move from his 3LDK from Kobe to Nara. I know a couple that moved from a 2LDK only 30 minutes away for 35,000 (that was the mid month price.) The prices totally vary. It's impossible to answer your question accurately with the information you've provided. You're looking at about 10,000 yen for 24 hours for a small truck, but about 15,000 yen for 24 hours for a nice big van. The problem with that is that you pay a penalty if you don't drive it back. |

I'd be moving from a 3LDK to another 3LDK (hopefully). I live alone and it would probably be a mid-August move from Osaka to Tokyo. It sounds like it would be at least 200,000 yen - maybe renting a truck is the way to go. |

A lot depends on the season. If you are moving in March or April, then you can expect to pay and arm and a leg. For august, I'd expect to pay about 100,000 for your size apartment. You'd best shop around though. |

I`ll be moving from Kanto to Kansai region. My new company has researched several options for me. A rental truck cost about 8000 yen for the first 100kms and 3000 yen for the next 50 kms thereafter. |
