Recently a number of threads have been locked for personal attacks. Im not sure what peoples motives are, but regardless, I must say that in the past two years since deciding to come to Japan, I have appreciated the advice given on this forum by many people who have been here longer than me, and will stay once I have gone.
Usually I check this forum everyday, although I dont post much as you can see from my total.
Yesterday I was reading on the China forum that people often dont thank those that help them out. No private message of thanks. No flowers. No card. Nothing.
So heres my thanks:
Glenski, Paulh, Abu, Gordon - Ive been reading your posts on here and other forums (where applicable) for two years, and appreciate your experience and the time you spend responding to people with honesty. I think I was very well informed before coming, and not much was unexpected.
Canuck, thanks for your brutal honesty, constantly changing avatar, and cynicism. Its the highlight of my visits to this site.
Keith_W_Alan, thanks for the entertainment a few months ago, and your legend lives on thanks to Canuck bringing you up whenever another circus rolls into town.
And thanks to many more who take the time to write thoughtful, insightful posts, which help most readers out. |

Slippy,
You couldn't be more right! Since imitation is the sincerest form of flattery , I would like to follow your example and also add my thanks to the numerous individuals who have shared their experiences and insight with me (the list is too lengthy to name them all). I would especially like to thank those that I have developed a friendship with through the glory of PMs - you have made me laugh and given me invaluable nuggets of information. I hope one day to be able to repay your kindness.
Best wishes and happy Hump Day to all! |

Chirp, it is a shame this forum isn't full of people like you and Slippy.

Give it a rest and find someone else to laugh at.
Shame on you. |

He doesn't post anymore. He left Japan because he couldn't find a job that was willing to pay him over 80,000 yen a lesson for his specialized business training seminars.

We don't need to look far. Many of us laugh, or shake our head at her every day! |

Thank goodness for that, eh Canuck, a little ray of sunshine in our lives.
Have a great day and congratulations on the one-eighty!
Enjoy,
