When there are only two or three jobs posted per day, it seems like a waste to have a China exclusive job board. I realize China is a growing economy and all that, but all most everyone when posts there, also posts on the International Job Board. (cf Korea Job Board: almost no one double posts. If the board is going to stay, how about fixing the typo on the link to it?

Most jobs in China are filled by people who happen to show up at the right time and are white.

But this might change in the future.

I seem to remember a thread requesting that Dave establish a separate China job board.

Now there is a new complaint that since there is a China Job Board, no China jobs should be posted in the general list anymore.

You know, Dave is very accomodating but we should not press our luck.

There did not used to be a seperate China Job Board and China jobs were listed in among jobs from around the world. China jobs are now listed on the China Job Board but also appear on the International Board. I assume that this is a short term thing that will be stopped once people become accustomed to using the China Job Board.

I have a question for the old guard. Do any of you look at still look at these job boards? Personally, I don't because if there happens to be an interesting job there will be thousands of people going for it.

A smart-assed remark is even more classic.

I believe that my post was a question followed by a comment, as others who responded seemed to grasp.

Well, actually thousands is a bit high. Most applicants will not meet basic qualifications such as "Native English Speakers Only", others will apply with an email stating "Is that jop still open?", others will apply with a CV/resume showing " Employment objective: Part time work while I build skills", and the like.

When it is all said and done, due to a variety of reasons, particularly availability dates, usually only a handful of applicants would be considered reasonably qualified and available.

So I'd say, if you find an ad that interests you, by all means apply. The only certian result is if you don't apply.
