|

I have been told that Thailand is incessantly scorching. WHen I have an interview is it recommended to wear the more uncomfortable, full length suit and tie, or just slacks, and a nice shirt tucked in?
I really hope I am no expected to wear the blazing blazer.
Thanks for your help. |

Nobody wears a jacket.
For an interview, I'd recommend:
a freshly ironed long-sleeved white shirt with tie
(extra points for Pokemon or Mickey Mouse)
black, navy or grey pleated dress-trousers
a fresh haircut and a clean shave
add a splash of cologne
black leather shoes
a 007 briefcase
and a tic-tac
Voila !
PS: remove earring(s)
or other body piercings

Well appearences (sp?) are everything here so if you can wear a suit without turning into a sweaty mess...go for it.
If not...just stick with the shirt, tie and slacks |

Kent,
Not many people wear suit jackets...but the odd Northerner seems to manage it without doing a Wicked Witch of the West (or is it East?)....i.e. melting. |

OK, ok ...
[almost] nobody wears a jacket.
It's so bloody & humid here
I shave my underarms once a week
so the roll-on sticks to my skin, not the hair.
Probably more info than you needed ? |

It always helps to dress a little better for the interview than you would for the daily job. If you have a jacket - carry it - and put it on when you are in an A/C environment. If no A/C - one extra point for bringing the d*amn thing!
I worked in a school in NE Bkk - that required a jacket all day long. And . . . the A/C didn't work all that well either.
Sweat city. Great job though. |
