Is a CELTA sufficient for HK? I think you might need a PGCE or equivalent to get a PNET position, but please correct me if I'm wrong.

A Celta won't be sufficient for teaching in the MOE here either.

What sort of position have you been offered with the MOE in Singapore? What type of school? What level of students? What subject matter?

Seems strange that they've offered you a job and haven't mentioned your salary.

Also seems strange that when I applied to them I had to complete forms stating what my teaching qualifications were and for what specific ages in primary/secondary school. That's why I made the comment about the PGCE - obviously I'm wrong.

There is a new move here to bring in foreign teachers to teach English language, so maybe they're recruiting for that programme.
