You never said you were a native Spanish speaker, mate! If you were, perhaps...
Most major cities have universities where Spanish is taught along with Japanese, French, German, in some cases even Arabic.
Spanish will be your students' second foreign tongue; often this means their English is pretty good (exceptional in China).
I am sure you can apply for positions in Guangzhou, Xi'an, Peking, Shanghai, perhaps in Wuhan, Nanjing, Dalian.
Of course, the number of Spanish learners is pretty low! |

Thx Roger..
I have a Master's in ESL - BS in Education - and a Teaching Certificate
the BS -Ed is in Major: Spanish Minor: English Certified K-12
and I also have a Master's in Latin American Studies.
I've taught both English and Spanish at the University (U.S. and Venezuela/Mexico) level for more than 5 years, having taught slightly more English than Spanish (Lit., Culture, History, Grammar, Phonetics, Conversation, the whole nine yards).
I'm obviousy pitching the English here but just wondering if I might not catch some Spanish on the side. (And yes, I'm Native Speaker in both languages)
Thx for your info. if you happen to hear of anything specific please PM me. |

I have a friend teaching Spanish at the University of Jilin. They have an active Latin American community there. |

Put ads in www.asiaxpat.com - two years ago I got an offer for teaching Spanish at a high school in Wenzhou this way. Also with China signing trade pacts with Venezuela, Chile, and Colombia in the past six months, I imagine more and more people will wanna pick up some Spanish.
There is an active Latin community in Jilin? |

A local FT teaches Spanish in my city. I guess he does well because he has a high turnout.
Many trading companies do business with South America so there is a market. |
