Hello,
I have a question to put out there based on something I was just reading in the newbie forum. I want to see what everyone around here says...

I was reading a discussion started by someone saying it's extrememly difficult to make ESL teaching abroad a long lasting career - in that as soon as you want to get married and have kids, you will be too poor and end up miserable and wanting to go home - where - according to them - you have no chance of getting a decent job after being away for so long doing ESL.

So, I wonder what you all think. I know some of you have started families etc... how do you feel about this a long term career? Is it possible? Or do you rely on your spouses' incomes to make ends meet? Is this only a career for those wanting a single, "care-free" lifestyle? How does/can the career change in order to accomodate an "adult" lifestyle?

Just wanted to thow that out there...
