Right. I want to go home in August!

Where's the best place for cheap flights to the UK? I've looked at Asatej, Despegar.com, Lufthansa and Alitalia. Are there any other places I should check?

Cheers,

Alex

I doubt you'll find any cheap flights to the UK in August!! I wanted to go back to the UK in August but I couldn't find any cheap flights home and I was looking 3 months ago!! I eventually bought a ticket for 5th September to Madrid with Air Madrid. This will probably be your cheapest option.

'salright, I've got one now!

I went to Asatej, who got us cheap flights with Varig. I needed a certificate showing I'm a teacher, and my girlfriend needed one showing she's a student, and we got one return and one single for less than a thousand quid.

Which was nice.

Well can't argue with that!!! I paid $1550 for my single back to Madrid so that sounds like a bargain.

a good deal assuming varig hasn't gone under by august...it's looking very likely they'll be out of business, possibly within a month. there was a story about brazilian fans being stranded in germany last week. otherwise, airmadrid with an easyjet connection in madrid usually works out ok, BA can be surprisingly cheap sometimes (i was home a couple of weeks ago for us$1000 return) and alitalia is dirt cheap. i've just got my mum a flight out for 470 return (in november) which is the cheapest i've ever heard of.
