I'll be travelling to Japan in two weeks and spending most of my time in Osaka and Kyoto. A friend of mine really wants a pair of traditional Japanese sandals, either a pair of wooden Geta or Tatami zori.
Does anyone have any suggestions on where to look? I'm looking for something not too expensive but made out of traditional materials and in the traditional style. |

I've not been to Kyoto, but even in my town, you can find traditional footwear on the main shopping streets. Must be everywhere in Kyoto... |

You can get cheapo ones in Uniqlo at the moment. |
