I am considering signing up to do a TEFL course with these guys. They say employment is offered at the end of the course. Has anybody gone through this route?, is it worthwhile?, how expensive is Santiago and how much cash would anyone take to cover a 4 week period there (assuming accomodation is paid for).
Thanks in advance |

A fair point however I get free travel though, so any public transport costs will mean an increase for me
500 spending money for the four weeks be ok do you think? Enough to see a few sites? |

with no accomodation costs you should be pretty fine on around 500 or 500,000 pesos for the month especially as if you're doing a 4 week tefl course you won't really have much time for expensive trips out of the city. |

I don't know much about the Bridge-Linguatec Certification program, but I would recommend the Tefl Academy. I just finished the program last week and it's definitely worth it. Besides being cheaper than the other, it also prepares you to be able to teach ESL anywhere (I hear Bridge-Linguatec only teaches THEIR methodology). You should definitely check it out:

I recommend The Tefl Academy. The director is a guy by the name of James Foster. You can contact him at [email protected].
This is a serious programme.
Good luck. |
