right, i'm being lazy with two questions squished into one post but i'll keep it short and sweet...

does anyone know if the 'kensington school' still exists around the tokyo- ish area? not the 'kensington english school' in gifu...

secondly and actually most importantly, any info regarding finding a good alt position in the tokyo area willing to recruit from the uk/sponsor visa will be most appreciated!
i applied for the westgate program recently but declined the offer in the end as it seems like a terribly raw deal (have lived and worked teaching english full time in japan for 2 years - returned to the uk for 2 years and now wish to continue my career on japan so i am pretty clued up as to how to find reasonable contracts only have never before considered an alt position - with the falling salaries i think it's the way to go for me as it pays slightly better than many eikaiwa jobs and any jobs under the 'university' teaching program guise like westgate which are actually just nova style jobs on a university campus just fleece you!)

please do throw any snippet of info or opinion my way as i'm really stumped at the mo...

thanks x

If you want some "real teaching" (ie, non-eikaiwa) and cannot come here to interview, you are stuck. The only places I know (roughly a dozen) that provide visa sponsorship and that recruit overseas are all eikaiwas (except JET programme).

I'm sure someone will pop up here and say I'm wrong, but in 8 years of posting here, I have not seen anything.

Need visa sponsorship? Your options are limited unless you come here.

Yes it does. In Omori and Denenchofu.
