Last week I gave my teenagers a list of sentences with mistakes for them to correct. We did it as a "grammar auction" game and it was really fun. The only problem was that it exposed the utter inadequacy of their grasp of English.

For example, they had difficulty seeing the problems with - let alone correcting - the following sentences.

"My friend Jim has 23 years"
"How much cost this t-shirt?"
"When she go to school?"
"Yesterday it is very cold"

And 7 more along the same lines...

They've been studying English for a couple of years (not with me though, mind) and this is REALLY basic stuff and important to get right.

So my question is, do you know of any really good, entertaining games to help them learn basic sentence structures? Preferably games that involve working in teams.

Thanks:-)
