I know this is not strictly job related. I am an English teacher (Australian origin) living now in Oman who needs to go to Dubai tomorrow night for urgent passport business - (I have just had mine stolen in France and cannot stay in oman without a new one). I would like to offer someone free accommodation in Muscat, 10 mins walk from beach if you can allow me to crash on your couch or spare bed for tomorrow night, Wed 23rd of august i think. Otherwise does anyone have any tips for a budget bed or know someone who could let me crash.
I checked out the hotel rates and they're nasty so far. I am really trustworthy, I can provide you with all my particulars and am very much worth meeting (seriously!!!). Go on, help out a fellow teacher and I will be forever appreciative.
It is short notice but it will need to be for tomorrow night - Wednesday. Please email me at your earliest convenience. I would leave my school's phone number but I'm worried about security.
Hope someone can help,
P

You're looking in Dubai? Isn't there a hostel there that is relatively cheap? Have you looked on the Lonely Planet Thorntree site and searched for cheap Dubai options?

Good thinking! There's a Youth Hostel in Al Qusais.
