Hey guys and gals,
I would like to know what the beaches are like in Vietnam. I am going to be visiting there with my Dad next Chinese New Year. We will be staying for 2 weeks and would like to go somewhere on the nicer side of things, but not too extravagant. I believe we will be flying in to HCMC and the travelling to a beach/resort type of place. I don't really want to travel all over the place and see all the places there are to see. We're more beach whores than travel junkies. In additon I would like something with a bit of a nightlife as my girlfriend will be coming with me and she will want to have some fun in that respect. One thing I must say is that I don't want a city beach.
Thanks for any help and advice

The only place that really matches all those criteria is Mui Ne, although the nightlife is very laid-back. Nha Trang has good nightlife but is a city beach, unless you head over to Cam Ranh, and Vung Tau is best avoided. Mui Ne is about a 4-hr drive from HCMC, but will be very busy/expensive during the Chinese New Year/Tet period. |
