I havent got much help with what electronics I can bring.
I know I can bring a laptop, but I want to bring some of my music CD's or DVD movies, should I get the need to watch one of my favorite movies.
anybody got some ideas.
Also, I am coming in through Hongkong , then taking a bus to Shenzhen. I have my tourist visa and passport. That should be all I need to get into china?
If possible I just want straight answrs and not someones like experiences.
Thanks for your time, |

FWIW, you can rent DVD's in China for about 2 RMB per movie, or you can buy them for under $1 USD per movie.
As for CD's, I strongly suggest ripping your favorite songs into MP3 format then either copying them to a USB flash drive, an external USB removable HD, burning them to CD's, or put them on a portable MP3 player. |

North American dvd players will play pirated DVDs from China because with pirated DVDs there are no format restrictions. I know because I broght a portable DVD player. That's the kind the other poster was talking about. Legal DVDs won't play and cost money while pirated stuff is 6 or 10 RMB per movie. If you want, you can still bring your DVD collection. It won't be a problem unless you want to play them on a Chinese DVD player. If you don't want to/know how to copy your CDs into MP3 format, just bring them in a CD binder type thing. You can always use P2P software to download anything you want from China but, even with Chinese broadband it can be so slow! |

I would have thought this might be an Off-Topic topic. Maybe an electronic device can be a teaching tool??
ps Don't forget China is 220volt (if ur bringing an electric massager)
