Howdy Everybody!!!!! Could you be so kind to give me the low down on TEFL International in Phuket, Thailand. I am thinking about taking a course yonder for four weeks. Thanks Much,

I took the course in Phuket. I would have to say the money was well spent. The instructors were all top notch, experienced, and professional. The school was on the outskirts of Phuket Town, so there wasn't a lot in the immediate area. With a lunch hour that was sometimes less (than 1 hour) you'll find yourself eating at the same restaurants over and over.
The facilities on site were clean but very basic. A bed out of a prison movie, bathtub with shower wand, and NO HOT WATER. Some rooms had AC, others just a fan. The accomodations off site (in the hotel) were significantly better (hot water being the key) but you had to walk to class. I think the extra walk was worth the nicer place to live.
Overall, it was a good learning experience...but I am happy to be taking hot showers again.  |
