Please excuse me of repeating a previous posting....

Does anyone hear anything about this school? I am due to start in this school pretty soon and the lack of response to my previous posting is making me nervous. Also, what sort of experience do you have with private school in Shanghai?

Don't get worried by the lack of response. There's probably only 7 or 8 regular Shanghai based posters, and there's hundreds of schools. In this case, no news is good news. Where did you find this school, website, recruiter? Privates in town are a mixed bag, and the bad ones generally don't last long, so if it's been around a few years the chances are its at least got OK management. Have you checked through the China Job Information Journal? [a lot of immature wingers do post there though]. There are LOTS of other options in Shanghai if this one is a dud. If they've done the right thing by you so far with visa, answering questions etc. you shouldn't be too concerned.
