I caught part of a newscast this morning saying that DF public schools would be starting an hour later every morning because of the unusually cold temps. They are expecting this to be one of the coldest winters ever...which doesn't surprise me since I am shivering. Anyone know about this later school day thing?

It's 27c in my office right now as I sit here under the ceiling fan.
Sorry - I had to say it. |

I know. What's with the hot weather lingering on the coast this year? We are still sweltering in the heat and it is predicted to last into December according to long range forecasts. Bring on the sweater weather here because it's been a long, hot 7 month summer so far! |

It's 14 here in Merida this morning. For the past few days we've been experiencing a "cold spell." Okay, I admit it's a far cry from Iowa winter, but normally we don't get stretches of these kinds of chilly temps here until late December or January. |

For the first time in almost 8 years, the words "Man, its cold" passed through my lips. I think I have become spoiled, as 15C with an ocean breeze is nothing compared to the winter in Washington D.C. |

Gotta say, it's freezing here in Puebla. The last few days have been chilly to say the least. May even have to invest in some sort of heating appliance.
Always a sign of cold in Puebla if there's snow on Malinche. Which there has been for the last few days. |

Extra cold here in Morelia too. It was too cold to contemplate getting in the shower this morning; I will be buying a space heater later today. People here say it was an unusually warm summer and they are expecting a colder than normal winter. |

Interesting...cool on the east coast, cold in the mountains, warmer than normal (?) on the Pacific. Sounds like El Nino... |

There was frost on my upstairs windward side windows this morning! I'm sitting here in an Andean sweater, wishing I had gloves. I don't know what the actual temp was, but this week has been like the week between Christmas and New Years usually is temperature wise. It has been cloudy and even raining for the past couple of weeks, but the sun is out today! At 1778 meters above sea level, the sun is the key to our temperature if it can't shine its cold. So I should be able to take my sweater off by my 1:00 class. |

It's chilly today in Guadalajara as well, though not bad compared to a northeastern US winter. The temperature this morning was 8 C and is supposed to be 4 C tomorrow morning. |

It's cold in Cuernavaca too! Usually people shiver all around me while I am quite warm but today I can't seem to warm up at all. Everyone is complaining because the locals tell me it isn't usually this bad until late December, and even then only for a few days.
I am quite used to very cold Canadian winters but there we have heating, proper clothing, etc. It seems so much worse here. |

Wow, these temperatures inland are VERY chilly. Ours went down to just below 20C overnight which was quite refreshing from the mid-20's we have been having overnight, and then right back up to 30C (in the shade and in the house!) where it sits at the moment. By now we are usually much cooler than this especially after sunset and overnight. |

Dare I say it? It has actually been chilly (20c) the last couple of mornings while riding in to the school on my motorcycle. In fact, I've worn a light windbreaker to keep the chill off of me. |
