I am going to be attending the TEFL Prague school in August. Is there anything I should know before coming? How difficult is it to meet other English speaking people and make freinds? Also how much money should I bring with me just to be safe?

Thanks

It's easier to meet native English speakers than it is to meet Czechs in the first month you are on a training program.
And even after that, there are many expats living in Prague who basically know only their students and other English speakers. It's actually more difficult to make Czech friends than it is to make English speaking friends - or, more accurately, it usually takes longer.

You should have at least enough money to support yourself for three months. First, there is the month of your course when you will not be earning anything. Second, there is the time between your course and the time you start a job. Most language schools pay monthly, at the END of the month worked. When you rent a flat, you are usually required to pay one month's rent as security and the first month's rent in advance. You may also have to pay the equivalent of a month's rent to a rental agency (possible to avoid in some cases). You should also always have a return ticket home or enough money on hand to buy one.
I think around $3,000 - $5,000 USD is kind of minimum....to be safe.
