I am going to stay at a Gaijin House. I was wondering if you have to bring your own blanket and pillow or they provide you with one.

If they don't provide you with one, are there cheap places where you can buy them? I am staying in Osaka.

Usually they provide everything you need to get by on, which should include a pillow and blanket.

However, the same pillow and blanket has been used by many people over the years, and hopefully there are pillow cases. When I lived in a guest house, I already had my own sheets, pillows, blankets, and futon, so I didn't use the ones in the room.

You might want to wash the sheets when you first move in, although most places ask leaving tenants to do so. Although they might just "hang them up to dry" even though they didn't bother washing anything.

I'm not familiar with Osaka, so I can't help you with cheap stores, but they do exist.

Would they sell blankets at those 100 yen shops?

In the summer, you won't want any blanket. Just roll up a t-shirt, put it under your head and sleep on the floor. (Akin to what many Japanese do anyway, even though you can be prone to getting cockroaches crawling in your ears.) Then, when you've earned enough money from working at Daiso (re. your previous thread) then, you can buy a blanket for the winter.
