				| Hi, looking at Russia and EF. I've got a CELTA and teaching expereince but no degree. Any thoughts on EF in general and the also the degree situation in ref to visas/prospects.

 Cheers

				| I assume by EF you mean "English First". EF has always been a company that hires inexperienced teachers and pays them peanuts. Good for a one-year "internship" where you are OK not getting paid and just want experience abroad and in teaching, but otherwise, I can't think of a single attractive thing about them.

With the tightening around the industry most other so-called schools seem to have followed suit. (BKC, etc).

				| You do not require a degree to get a visa for Russia. As for the individual schools, why not just ask them. | |

				| If you are going to take hourly paid work with them and they offer at least $20 per hour, it might be worth considering but DON'T take a contract job for peanuts! The same goes for B.K.C. and L.L. etc. If you have a CELTA and some experience you could try approaching Denis, Toms House etc. or maybe even VJS.
But you will have to pay for your own flights, visa and appartment as they generally don't pay these kind of things for teachers on freelance hourly rates.
You get what you pay for, even teaching in Moscow, and like they say, there is rarely such thing as a free lunch!
P.M. me if you need more advice.
