I've been hearing funny stories about this place - like teachers have no desks to work at - the working hours are insane (you can start teaching as early as 5am) - the students are rediculously weak - the teachers are pathetically lazy - and the best, they had an outbreak of tuberculosis lately... Is any of this true???? I thought this was a good place to work...can anybody shed light on this place.... thanks

All are pathetically lazy. All Saudi military, from generals down to 2nd lieutenants to one stripers. Students can hardly speak, understand or read English even when they have graduated from TSI Dhahran and have been at their OJT duty post for more than 1 1/2 years. That is pathetic. No wonder King Fahd invited foreign military to fight Iraq in the Gulf War.

What about the persistent rumours of an outbreak of TB amongst teaching staff at BAe Dhahran ?

I suspect those working there will remain schtumm for fear of annoying the ex-Wingcos who run the place.

Is it also true that the British senior teachers are getting the boot??

As for the TB thing, that's scary. Sure wouldn't want to go there..
