Does anyone have any information, good or bad, regarding this school? City? Thanks.

Luoyang, my old hometown. It's a small, dirty, polluted city with little to do but has a lot of history and charm. As much as it drove me crazy at times, I miss the place. Cold and miserable in the winter, though. It's close enough to Xi'an to make weekend trips there, or even Zhengzhou if you're desperate enough. It's close to Kaifeng, as well, the other ancient capital besides Luoyang and Xi'an. It's a cool place overall, I think. Luoyang food is very unique and very good.

The teachers college is probably the best school to teach at in Luoyang, I've been there several times. My kindergarteners performed a play there once. I had 2 good friends who taught there, they liked it well enough. It's in a nice area, decent campus, nice accommodation, etc. It has the usual Chinese uni problems, like cheating, but other than that it's good.
