I've looked around and am still a bit lost. I want to down to the region of Mexico my girlfriend lives in next year (torreon) and spend a year (maybe more) teaching there. I have a BA in World Languages and Cultures (intedisciplinary major in spanish language, history/lit/politics/culture of latin america) but no teaching qualifications.
I'm trying to figure out what kind of certification program is apporpriate. I'm relatively impatient, so a 1.5 year Berkeley TEFL probably won't work for me. Anyone with anecdote about the St. Giles CELTA or the Oxford Seminars TESOL or any other program from Monterey to San Francisco please let me know what you'd recommend.
I'd be interested in teaching something besides just English if possible. |
