Hi,

I was wondering if anyone had any more info about the Dunham Institute, specifically their "language exchange" program (as I understand it, 3.5 hrs of English teaching for 2 hrs of Spanish class per day).

Thanks in advance!

I'm bumping this up because I'm wondering about this program myself and hoping that a few years later someone might have an answer.

I'd also like any info on what living in this part of Mexico is like - I've never been to Mexico and am only just starting to research areas. One post I saw mentioned that it can be quite hot - is it like that year round?

I took my TEFL certificate at the Dunham Institute. I recommend it. Its a nice town to stay in, the homestay is comfortable and the program is intensive. Its strongest point is teaching interactive games for classroom instruction, especially for younger children but applicable across the board.

Thanks for the info. I'm actually looking to do their language exchange program since I already have a TEFL cert. As I understand it, I would study Spanish for 2 hours a day and get a homestay, both for free, in exchange for teaching English for 3.5 hours a day.

Was there anyone doing this while you were there? And do you think it would be possible to get a few private students on the side? It seems like a pretty small town.
