Ha ha , a similar thing happened to me in 'Airscafe' in Kobe. I had just paid and thought I might grab just one more drink before I left and the clerk came running across the floor gesturing with his arms crossed. I got really angry since it is such a stupid technicality, and told him the rule was baka!

Never went there again.... although I am still planning my revenge , go in pay for 15 mins time and then turn on all the drink taps at once, make drinks then just pour them on the ground etc.. Maybe Im a vindictive person....
