I think the working holiday visa is only offered to Aussies and Kiwis but I may be wrong.
I'm an Australian and from my understanding I am eligable for the working holiday visa.
Are there any restrictions that anyone is aware of with the working holiday visa?
I read that there is a 3 month limit on how long you can work with the one employer. If Taiwan is anything like Australia this regulation would not be strictly enforced because of the difficulties in doing so.
I don't have a B.A. or a tefl.
Korea offers the working holiday visa to Australians but if you want to teach on it you need to get permission and to get permission you need a BA.
Does anyone know of any restrictions like these or others? |

I've never heard of a working holiday visa for Taiwan, and don't think it exists. If I'm wrong, somebody else please respond. |

This sheme is at most two years old. You have to apply from your home country. I think there is a three month limit with an employer though I'm not sure how enforcable that is. Not sure about other limitations though. I think the maximum number of hours you can work is lower too. |

I'm living in Japan at the moment and even though the working holiday visa is intended primarily for a holiday there isn't a limit on how much work you can do. Even if it were the case I doubt that they would be able to effectively monitor how many hours of work you're actually doing anyway. |

Ki is correct in that there is a working holiday visa arrangement in place for some countries including Australia and New Zealand. It is a reciprocal arrangement with Taiwan that has been in place since June 2004.
