Can anyone tell me about how many days I should expect it to take to get a 60 day visa at an 'embassy' (I know they're not really embassies), in a foreign country? I believe I must present my in and out tickets when I apply, but I don't know how far in advance I should plan to arrive because I don't know how long the visa process will take. Thanks!

It normally takes three business days. You could have it done the same day by dropping off the application when they open, and pick up the visa that afternoon. The same day option costs more, of course.

Yup, ZOIDBERG is quite right. Its about $25 extra for same day rush service, and you dont "have to have" and inbound & outbound ticket purchased.

You can use a "tentative itinerary" that a travel agent will print off for you showing that you plan to buy an inbound/outbound ticket to apply for your visa, and once you have it you can just buy the incoming tickets only...we did this and had no problems getting into the country. The customs officials didnt even ask us anything, just looked at our papers and sent us through.

im not sure about applying in another country, but you could always email the TECO office that has juristidiction over your home town and they responded to my emails within 24 hrs

cheers Surprised
