Hong Kong airport has an unaccompanied baggage service (UBS) at Gate K of the HK airport. When I called, they said I could ship 20 kilos to Bangkok for about HKD 600, which is pretty good since it would cost me HKD 1000 if I checked it as extra luggage. They said I could pick it up two days later at the Bangkok cargo terminal.
Has anyone ever used that service?
Also, I'm arriving in Hong Kong on Sunday, and leaving a few days later for Bangkok. I'm bring DVD's and CD's, but only ones that I've bought in the US or Hong Kong. Will there be any hassle about those in the customs area? I mean, they might assume I have bought them all in China, although they're all perfectly legal and all in English. |
