Hello all,
This is my first ever posting so go easy on me.
My husband and I are thinking of moving to Spain in January. I will be taking a CELTA course and he will hopefully get a job as a cook. I am one of those "lucky" Americans married to an EU (Irish) citizen so no visa issues. I want to get accommodation through the school so that we will have time to find a place we like.
The questions:
1. Anyone know of a couple, one who is teaching and the other working as a cook or in some other industry, in Barcelona? I have read about my chances of getting a job, but I wanted to see what the chances of my husband, who has yet to learn Spanish, of getting a job in a kitchen?
2. I have yet to hear anything too devastating about IH in Barcelona so I am probably going to go there even though it is about 1600 Eur with accommodation. That is unless someone can recommend a better place that is cheaper?
3. What amount of money should we go with? Is 3000 enough for two or would we need more? Also, My bestfriend is getting married in September, next year back home (California) and I will need to save around 3000 Euro is this possible from January 07 to Sept 07 of next year on our wages?
Hope I have not repeated any question from previous postings and any advice is of course appriciated. |
