I'm moving to Seville in September and just wondered if anyone knows of the best way to find a flat. I'd really like a one bedroomed or share with just one or two people.
I know this is a bit of a long shot but if anyone knows of anything could you let me know? I'm in Seville 16-18 July as well so could start sorting things then
Thanks a lot

Mandy

You'll do a lot better if you wait until you are on the ground. First check into a hostel to ditch your gear. Next, if you are OK with living near a university and/or with university students, head into campus. Check out the student union, bulletin boards, bus stops.

At the start of the semester (Sept 25th where I live) there are a ton of rooms (single and double to rent). We are a bit outside of Seville proper, but prices here are running from around 115 E - 280 E a month, plus a share of gas, electric, etc. If you don't speak Spanish, you need to make friends fast with someone who does. Another option is a realtor -- but they charge a pretty hefty commission. There's no guarantee that they'll speak English either. You can sometimes find private rentals in the classified newspapers -- for sale at corner kiosks -- but most are for rent by agents.

Language tips: piso-apartment; habitacion-room; particulares-private; aquila-rent; vende-sell.

Best of luck in your travels!!!!!
Jennifer
