hey all!

I travelled around vietnam last year and i remember being really confused on their pricing system... a nice mix of US dollars & VN Dong. Can anyone working there tell me how it works for them? Which currency do you use? One or both?
I figure its always better to use the local currency but then again i remember going to a bank and only being able to withdraw US $ (i could be confused..that might have happened in Cambodia not Vietnam).
I've been offered a teaching job starting in October and i'm just wondering about this whole money issue.
