Snakeheads are quite common in TW, despite the nicities. If you go to poorer communities-and they exist-a different world exists. Everyone has their hand in the cookie jar because, guanxi exists. And this hand may even be the police!

In Korea they call this mutual mindset a social disease, or cronyism. It's a serious problem which led to the Korean War and may put Taiwan in jeopardy. Perhaps this is why TW has no international friends, and stands on its own. No trust, ie., sense of justice, exists.

Don't be fooled, marriage or not-and the latter is the clincher. You're like a stray dog. No one really cares, and that for your responsibility. Mr. Scwartz's son is an example. So are murdered young women in Japan. In my country we at least have a sense of justice afterward. Talk to the raped women in S. America. Guanxi is like victimization.

If you look down the corridor of Miao-Li, you can read about these snakeheads being caught. Then released. Then you can try to find the women/men, mangled mentally. Then you can tell me if TW should be recognised against its ordeal with China.

What are you talking about?

Your offering a theory that a crime may have occurred based on nothing more than your 'observations' of life in Taiwan. It is just as easy to assume that he is living on a beach somewhere in S.E Asia and has chosen to simply 'drop out'.

Why the assertion of 'snakehead' involvement? What do you have to support your argument and why are you posting a baseless, groundless argument here where you know full well that his poor father is going to probably read it?

Offer something concrete or substantial or be quiet. Your conspiracy theories are not helping the situation.

Mods - can you please close this thread?
