I'm thinking of going to Japan in November to look for a job. I have a degree and by then I'll have a CELTA.
Is this a difficult time to look for work???
Should I look for a job in Taiwan or Korea for a couple of months before heading off to japan instead??? |

What kind of degree? Associate? Bachelor? Master? PhD?
What field? Geology? Literature? Linguistics? Microbiology?
What kind of work? Language school? High school? Kindergarten?
In any case, I'd have to say that November is a pretty bad time to job hunt. Eikaiwas are thinking about their end-of-year drinking parties, and any minor surge in hiring took place in September for the October hires.
The other types of schools might have an opening or two, but they don't start until April. Ads come out 1-6 months in advance. |

I don't know about Taiwan, but if you want to work legally you can't do it for only a couple of months in Korea. You have to get an E2 work visa, good for a year, and the vast majority of schools require one year contracts. |
