Is it possible to complete the teaching credential classes, for say teaching High School in California, while in China? Or at least some of the classes? Obviously their must be people who have taught in china who would vastly outteach most US High school teachers. Know what I mean?
Also, what about getting a Masters-online or whatever?
Also, Are ther jobs in the Stateside for teaching english?
sorry for the obvious ignorance I'm a newbie.[/u] |

I will attempt and answer for you - since your note has been sitting here unanswered for a while . . .
I was, at one time, a certified teacher in my home state (Arizona). I found it difficult to get acceptable training to keep my certification active - and it has since expired.
My guess would be that it would be difficult to complete your certification process for California - while overseas. But, so much more is online nowadays - you might ask the credentialing authorities in California what they might recommend.
There are many online/distance TEFL degree programs - particularly out of Australia. Some are reputable - some are not. Take a close look and ask around about specific programs.
Hope that helps! |

Hey Huntington Beach, I grew up and graduated from High School there. I moved the day after graduation but always missed it.
I do not know about teaching credentials but getting a Masters degree online is very easy. Make sure you get an accredited school for your Masters degree. |
