Hi everyone, I have just finished up my degree and decided a while back I wanted to go to china and teach English. I have been talking to a few Chinese people I meet (teacher, waitress, daughter in law of my grandma's friend) and the one common thing I have heard is that Qingdao is a great place and the way they describe it makes me want to go there. the trouble is I have been having trouble finding links or ads of places hiring there. the only place I saw any was thatsqingdao.com so I sent my resume to those links. does anyone know of any schools in Qingdao that are hiring or have links to sites with ads for schools in Qingdao? also any information on the city, prices, apartments there, good places to eat, and cheap hotels would be greatly appreciated. thanks for reading |

i gave a review of Shandong Foreign Trade Vocational College a week or so ago. it's on dave's somewhere.
there's Flander School -- they'll offer you a paltry 80 yuan/hour but bargain hard and they'll raise it a bit.
the Ocean U and Qingdao U offer pretty crappy salaries. the vocational schools give you more, but they also give you more of a headache.
there's an EF, and a Dragon Kindy.
there are some korean hagwons. i don't know the specifics on contacting them, but that'll be your best bet.

My suggestion is to go to Qingdao and do privates. People in Qingdao are rich and don't want there children going to bushibans . They prefer the teacher comes to their homes . I think the problem is that the places where everyone wants to teach in like Qingdao is saturated with people wanting to teach English . |

Ask your folks for the cash in advance, if you get an official teaching job the school should reimburse your flight cost. |
