| Hsinchu has two nicknames: The Windy City and Taiwan's Silicon Valley. The latter has led to excellent tutoring fees for all those techies. My visits to the city really impressed me: because it was quite windy, the pollution wasn't as obvious as in other Taiwanese cities. Also, the nearby mountains make for a beautiful view. Another benefit is that you're near Taipei without the hassles of Taipei. Good luck with your decision. |
