Hi, i have an ECC interview coming up soon and would like to hear people's experiences of the teaching demonstration.
I have searched the forum and they generaly appear to be in the form of teaching vocab to absolute geginners, lasting for about five mins.
I'd be really greatful for as much info on this subject as possible as it is the part of the interview i'm dreading the most.
Mucho gracias. |

When I did the interview, we were put into groups and given a pretty thorough outline of what we needed to teach. The group worked together to help each other to create good lessons. They weren't looking for perfect lessons, but for a good teacher's presence. |

Hi, Miles! I just wanted to send you some good luck vibes. I've got an ECC interview tomorrow morning!
There is a lot of material on ECC in these boards - some very detailed descriptions of what we're about to undergo. QA sessions ... teaching demonstrations (by us!), a rather notorious grammar test ... a one-on-one interview ... it is a bit daunting! Hopefully, it's nothing we can't handle ...
Anyway, good luck! Check out the posts on this board - they're quite helpful.
Best,

Thanks, good luck to you too.
I don't know if it's too late to be telling you this now, but i spoke with one of the interviewers, and he said that the lesson would be 5 mins teaching beginner 3-4 year olds. He stressed that this age group was very important to ECC.
Again good luck for the interview, or if you have already had it i hope that it went well. |
