I'm new to NY and I have met some people who have suggested working at this school, but they're Turks, so I feel they might be a bit biased. Any comments or advice about the school? |

Why are you asking about a school in NY on the Turkey threads. I am confused. |

well the school i'm asking about is Turkish, and teachers go back and forth between this school in NY and home to Turkey. Also, from what I understand, Amity has branches all over the world. I don't think getting information about this school on the Turkey board is so extraordinary. |

no mention of it having any other branches outside of NY.
Most of the teachers are Turkish though. Is it not just a school for Tukish kids living in NY? |

The school website doesn't mention their other branches, although the teachers and Administration have told me that they do exist. I've met two teachers...one from Russia Amity, and one from Amity in Africa. The school is open to all kids, but it is operated by Turkish people, with funding from Turkish businessmen. My purpose here is to get some feedback from those who have worked at the school already. Some teachers that might read this board. I know the former ESL teacher left to move to Istanbul...maybe she's out there and can give me the scoop. |
