I did a quick check on cheaptickets.com, and the lowest price I could find for a MSO to BKK flight (MSO is the abbreviation for Missoula, a city in Montana in the Western US) was $2500! 
The last ticket I bought was round trip, open ended, MSO to Harbin, for $940.
Any advice on getting a fair fare to BKK? Or is $2500 just what has to be paid?
Edit: Also, are the odds really as slim as everyone make out about my being checked at immigration for return/onward tickets? |

I have been to Thailand many times and have never been checked for onward tickets. I don't know anybody who has either. |
